Patience and time is all it takes in dog behaviour
True Rehabilitation of dog behaviour takes time
Time is all it takes in dog behaviour to correct most unwanted issues, we just need patience.
True dog behavioural rehabilitation comes from the same theory that time and patience will bring the desired behaviour.
Understand this and it will be as simple as it gets.
When it all comes down to it, all dog behaviours can be changed in some way.
But sometimes it can take us to step back a little and wait for a dog to work them through the unwanted behaviour.
Reactive insecurity dog behaviour cannot be worked through by simple love and affection.
Equally, it can not be forced through by negative corrections.
This has to be the dogs choice to want to trust you and follow. That’s not something you can train into to a dog, it is something far more primal.

Relationships are not built on food, they are built on a foundation of mutual respect.
If a dog wants to be with you they will be with you, if they don’t then that’s their choice.
You can and should not change that primal ability to make that choice.
Relationships should not be forced or artificially created using methods that create an unnatural and unhealthy reliance on the human using a dog’s primary need which is food.
If we let our dogs choose when to build a relationship it becomes a strong and lasting relationship.
We have been building a relationship in this way for centuries, so why change it now.
